Gary Arca is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and British Columbia Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1980. Mr. Arca was a partner with two separate public accounting firms from 1996 to December 2005. Mr. Arca has extensive experience dealing with public companies and, since 2005, has served as a director of many publicly traded resource companies.
Ross R. Grunwald

Dr. Grunwald is the owner and principal consultant of GeoResource Management headquartered in Jamestown, California, a consulting firm offering geological and environmental services to North American mining companies. Dr. Grunwald holds a M.Sc. from the University of Hawaii and a Ph.D. from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. He brings to Highland and the Keweenaw-Houghton copper projects his more than 40 years of experience in the fields of mining, mineral exploration, and ground water resource evaluation, as well as environmental site characterization and remediation. Mr. Grunwald will be the key figure in heading up the Company's operations in Michigan as well as other projects.

From 1989 to 1999, he was Vice-President of Environment and Land Use for the Mining Association of British Columbia and then served as Assistant to the Minister for Mining in British Columbia until he joined the Company in October 2002

David is currently Vice-President (Western Canada) of Laurel Hill Advisory Group, LLC, a North American firm providing strategic solicitation and corporate governance consulting services. Mr. Salmon's career includes 15 years of financial services experience, specializing in shareholder strategies related to hostile and friendly acquisitions, proxy contests, and corporate governance issues. Prior to joining Laurel Hill, Mr. Salmon spent over 5 years gaining significant business development and sales management experience in the retail banking industry with Bank of Montreal and Toronto-Dominion Bank.
Mr. Salmon graduated from the University of Toronto in 1995 with a major in Economics and subsequently completed the Canadian Securities course in 1997. He is a member of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute and the Canadian Society of Corporate Secretaries.
